One reason to visit Siem Reap is definitely for its astounding architecture. There are plenty of ancient temples for you to explore during your stay. One of these temples is the Angkor Wat temple. It is known to be the largest religious monument in the world. Another well known temple is the Banteay Srei, which was built around the 10th century, and is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Besides temples, there is also the Angkor Arcaeological Park, which holds a wide variety of Ancient Ruins and Historic sites.
The Angkor Thom is made up out of the remains of an ancient city and the temples that go with it. It makes for a beautiful hike through history.
