As the resort town of Queenstown is such an appealing destination, a range of sporting, entertainment and other events are regularly organised here.
Queenstown Jazzfest. Suitable for young and old alike, this popular musical event brings together world-class musicians from New Zealand as well as the rest of the world for four days of live entertainment in October.
Audi Quattro winter games. Taking place every two years, the winter games attract international sporting stars who compete in a range of events, including alpine and cross-country skiing, curling and snowboarding. And in the evenings, there is a great line up of entertainment at the Winter Games NZ Festival.
Queenstown Winter Festival. This festival is held in June to celebrate the start of Winter. The town holds a four-day festival, with a range of entertainment suitable for all. The festival boasts live music, comedy and spectacular fireworks displays, all mixed with a healthy dose of fun and laughter.
