Phoenix Overview
Phoenix is the capital city of the state of Arizona in the southwestern USA. It is renowned for its blissfully warm temperature and year-round sun (300 days no less!) which delights visitors as they explore the appropriately named Valley of the Sun; a vast, multi-city and diverse metropolitan hub packed with golf courses, luxury spas, boutique shopping, inspiring museums and world-class nightclubs.
Step out of the city and you'll be rewarded by mountains and desert, with the Desert Botanical garden a key visitor attraction and home to innumerable native flora. Visitors are often struck by the contrast of the azure blue skies, the golden sun and the deep red rocks of the surrounding towering mountains.
Phoenix itself is a true economic powerhouse with real international cultural clout. You'll find a symphony orchestra, an opera house, several theatres and three of the most impressive museums in the state: the Phoenix Art, the Heard and the Musical Instrument museums. If sport is more your thing, enjoy professional football, baseball, ice-hockey and basketball as well as 200 golf courses.
