Nature Lovers & Beaches

Take a stroll around Hayarkon Park, offering 3.8 square kilometers of walkways, cycle paths and jogging tracks and a green delight within the bustling high rises of this major city. Children can also play in the aqua park situated within this park.

Tel Aviv's west side is a 13 km stretch of sandy beaches, perfect for sun worshippers. So pack your sun cream, towel and good book to read and don't miss out on these beautiful beaches. Gordon Beach is one of the most famous, attracting tourists and locals alike, all year round. You can even give public Israeli folk dancing a try here. The Friday night drum circles, singing and dancing at Banana Beach attract a largely bohemian crowd and are a sizzling and avid experience for the ears and eyes. Hilton Beach is the gay beach, and Jerusalem Beach is also very LGBT friendly.

The Old Jaffa

The Tel Aviv-Jaffa Promenade is a beautiful walkway connecting the old town of Jaffa to the northern perimeter of the city and a haunt for classical music buskers. Visit the Promenade in late afternoon to see some of the most lovely sunsets you ever experienced. Plan a tour of old Jaffa to see some of the historic sites of the neighbourhood. You will be fascinated by the fishing boats in old Jaffa port, which is situated just to the back of the new city port. The Clock Tower is a great place to begin a walking tour of old Jaffa and you should allow around three hours to complete your visit to the area.

Visit The Different Areas of Town

Tel Aviv is made up of different areas, often called Compunds, you'll discover many of the compounds provide exciting activities by day or night. Sarona compound is the latest of the new areas to be built and situated by Shalom Train station.You can relax in cafes, visit designer boutiques or visit the art galleries or visitor centre at Sarona and you're sure to enjoy the exhibitions that will be staged there in the evenings. Hatachana Compound is on the corner of Koyfman Street and provides great family entertainment in a safe environment that's ideal for children to let off steam. The compound has a variety of upmarket stores and restaurants and stages plays, events, acrobatics and exhibitions to ensure nobody is bored while visiting.

The New Orient Fair Ground is situated in the Port area and provides a wonderful tourist attraction in the vicinity. You'll discover dancers, street performers, a circus and much more at the New Orient Fair Ground, alongside top designer boutiques and trendy restaurants or coffee shops. In summer the Fair Ground hosts public movie performances and kids will be thrilled with the care and attention that's been paid to their needs at the venue. It's a great place to visit by day or night, with lots of entertainments, sporting activities and places to just sit and watch the people go by.
